It is narrated from Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "What is between the navel and the knee is part of the private area (awrah)." [Narrated by Al-Daraqutni in a lengthy hadith]
In its chain is Siwar ibn Dawud, whom Al-Uqayli considered weak, but Ibn Ma'in deemed him reliable).

(اس کی روایت دارقطنی نے کی ہے، یہ ایک طویل حدیث کا ایک حصہ ہے اور اس کی سند میں سوار بن داؤد ہیں جن کو عقیلی نے ضعیف قرار دیا ہے؛ لیکن امام ابن معین ان کو ثقہ قرار دیتے ہیں)۔ (ابن معین فن رجال کے امام ہیں اس لئے ان کا قول معتبر ہے۔)
