It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you leads people in prayer, let him make it light, for among them are the sick, the weak, and the elderly. But when one of you prays alone, let him prolong it as much as he wishes."
