Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The Maghrib prayer is the Witr of the daytime prayers, so pray Witr for the night prayer.'" [Narrated by Nasa'i]
Al-Allamah Al-Ayni said: "This chain meets the conditions of Bukhari and Muslim."

ہے (اس حدیث شریف میں وتر کو مغرب کے فرض سے تشبیہ دی گئی ہے اس لئے جیسے مغرب کے فرض کی تین رکعتیں ہیں، ایسے ہی وتر کی بھی تین رکعتیں ہی ہوں گی)۔
