Ibn Jurayj reported: "Ata’ informed me from Ibn Abbas and Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), who said: 'There was no adhan on the day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha.' Later, I asked Ata’ about it, and he informed me, saying: 'Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) told me that there is no adhan for the prayer on the day of Eid al-Fitr when the Imam comes out, nor after he comes out. There is no iqamah, no call, and nothing. There is no call or iqamah on that day.'"
