Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
"Zakah has replaced all forms of charity mentioned in the Qur’an, fasting Ramadan has replaced all other fasts, the ghusl for janabah (major impurity) has replaced all other ghusls, and the Udhiyah (Eid al-Adha sacrifice) has replaced all other sacrifices." [Narrated by Al-Daraqutni and Al-Bayhaqi]
Abu Dawud said: "The Atirah is abrogated." 1

(1) The statement: "The Atirah is abrogated." Ali al-Qari said: "The general prohibition was to avoid resembling the idolaters." I say: Therefore, it is not recommended either.

مشابہت ہو رہی تھی، گو مشرکین بتوں کے لئے کرتے تھے اور مسلمان اللہ تعالیٰ کے لئے ذبح کرتے تھے مگر مشرکین کی مشابہت کی وجہ سے فرع اور عتیرہ کا مستحب ہونا بھی منسوخ ہو گیا، اسی وجہ سے ملا علی قاری رحمہ اللہ نے مرقات میں فرع اور عتیرہ کا منسوخ ہونا ظاہر کیا ہے اور ابوداؤد نے بھی اپنی سنن میں عتیرہ کا منسوخ ہونا لکھا ہے۔) اس حدیث کی روایت دارقطنی اور بیہقی نے کی ہے۔
