Hadith 2335

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The example of a miser and a charitable person is like two men wearing iron cloaks that are tightly fitted around their chests and shoulders. Whenever the charitable person gives charity, the cloak expands until it covers him completely and conceals his footsteps. Whenever the miser intends to give charity, the cloak tightens, and every ring clings to its place.”
