Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Allah accepts the repentance of His servant as long as the veil has not descended." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is the veil?" He replied, "The soul departing while in a state of shirk."
