Urwah ibn Mudarris (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) standing at Muzdalifah. He said: 'Whoever prays this prayer with us here, stays with us, and had already stood at Arafah by night or day - his Hajj is complete.'"

Note 1
(1) "His Hajj is complete": This links the validity of Hajj to standing at Muzdalifah, suggesting its obligation (not just recommendation). This is supported by Ibn Umar's narration about sending the weak ahead - if it were a pillar (rukn), this wouldn't be permitted. (Fath al-Qadir, Al-'Inayah)
Note 1
