Salamah ibn al-Akwa‘ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We went with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) against Hawazin. While we were eating with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), a man came on a red camel, dismounted, and looked around. Among us were weak and soft people at the rear, some on foot. He hurriedly went to his camel, spurred it, and it ran off. I chased him, caught the camel’s reins, made it kneel, drew my sword, and struck the man’s head. I brought the camel, with its saddle and weapons, leading it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the people met me, and he said: “Who killed the man?” They said: “Ibn al-Akwa‘.” He said: “All his spoils are for him.”
