Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: A rat came dragging a wick and dropped it in front of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on the mat he was sitting on, burning a spot the size of a dirham. He said: "When you sleep, extinguish your lamps, for the devil guides the likes of this to do this and burn you."
