English

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Hour will not be established until wealth increases and overflows, such that a man goes out with his zakat and finds no one to accept it, and the land of the Arabs becomes meadows and rivers.” [Narrated by Muslim] In another narration by him: He said: “The dwellings will reach 1 Ihab or Yahab.”

Note 1

The dwellings will reach Ihab or Yahab

(1) His statement: “The dwellings will reach Ihab or Yahab”: Al-Turbishti said it means Medina’s population will grow until its dwellings connect to Ihab or Yahab—the narrator was uncertain of the name, or it was known by both names, so “or” was used to indicate a choice between them. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
