Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘I entered 1 Paradise and saw Ar-Rumaysa, the wife of Abu Talhah. I heard a rustling and said: Who is this? They said: This is Bilal. I saw a palace with a girl in its courtyard and said: Whose is this? They said: For Umar ibn al-Khattab. I wanted to enter and look at it, but I remembered your jealousy.’ Umar said: ‘May my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of Allah, would I be jealous of you?’”

(1) His statement “I entered Paradise”: meaning on the Night of Ascension, in a vision, or in the realm of unveiling. His statement “Ar-Rumaysa”: with sad mahmulah, a diminutive of Ramsa, meaning a woman with crust in her eye. Here, it is the name or title of Umm Anas, wife of Abu Talhah, in apposition. His statement “rustling”: meaning the sound of sandals from walking. His statement “I wanted to enter it”: meaning the palace, to look closely or at its interior as I saw its exterior. His statement “May my father and mother be your ransom”: the ba is for causation, with “you” as the subject and “may my father” as the predicate, meaning may Allah make them your ransom. (۱) قوله: دخلت الجنة أي ليلة المعراج أو في عالم الكشف أو حالة الرؤيا. وقوله: بالرميصاء» بالصاد المهملة تصغير رمصاء، وهي امرأة في عينها رمص بفتحتين، وهو ما جمد من الوسخ في الموق، وهو هنا اسم أم أنس أو لقبها. «امرأة أبي طلحة بدل، وقوله: «خشفة والمراد هنا صوت النعل الناشي من حركة الماشي. وقوله: «فأردت أن أدخله أي القصر «فانظر إليه أي نظرا مفصلا، أو إلى باطنه كما رأيت ظاهره. وقوله: «بأبي أنت وأمي الباء للتعدية، وأنت مبتدأ و بأبي خبره، أي أنت مفدى بأبي وأمي كذلك، والمعنى جعلهما الله فداءك. التقطته من «المرقاة».

(23) وقوله: دخلت الجنة. یعنی شب معراج میں یا عالم کشف میں یا خواب کی حالت میں۔ وقوله: بالرميصاء صاد ہے اور یہ رمیصاء کی تصغیر ہے، اور اس خاتون کی آنکھ کے کونے میں میل جم گیا تھا یہ رمص سے ہے اور غمص دونوں کو زبر ہے اور یہ انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی والدہ کا نام ہے یا ان کا لقب ہے۔ حضرت ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی بیوی ہیں۔ وقوله: خشفة یہاں مراد چپل کی آہٹ ہے جو چلنے والے کی حرکت سے پیدا ہوتی ہے۔ وقوله: فاردت ان ادخله. یعنی میں اس میں داخل ہونے کا ارادہ کیا فانظر اليه تاکہ اس کو تفصیل سے دیکھوں یا یہ کہ اس کو جس طرح باہر دیکھا ہوں اسی طرح اس کے اندر بھی دیکھوں۔ وقوله: بأبي وامي اس میں باء متعدی بنانے کے لئے ہے اور انت مبتداء اور باقی اس کی خبر ہے یعنی انت نفدى بابي وامي كذلك ہے اس کے معنی ہیں اللہ تعالیٰ ان دونوں کو آپ پر فدا کردے۔ (ماخوذ از مرقات)
