It is narrated from 'Ubayd ibn 'Umayr 1 Al-Laythi that when 'Umar saw the Adhan in a dream, he came to inform the Prophet (peace be upon him) but found that revelation had already been sent regarding it. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to him, "Revelation has preceded you."
