ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے
حضور نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت اقدس میں حاضر ہوکر یہ عرض کیا کہ میری ایک بیوی ہے
جو کسی چھونے والے کے ہاتھ کو نہیں ہٹاتی (یعنی جو کوئی اس سے بدکاری کا ارادہ کرے اس سے
انکار نہیں کرتی) تو حضور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا تو اس کو طلاق دیدے تو اس نے
عرض کیا مجھے اس سے محبت ہے تو آپ نے فرمایا تو اس کی نگہبانی کرتا رہ (تاکہ وہ بدکاری نہ
کرے)۔ (اس کی روایت ابوداؤد اور نسائی نے کی ہے۔)

(1) His statement: “Then keep her,” etc. Therefore, it is said in al-Durr al-Mukhtar: It is not obligatory for a husband to divorce an immoral wife. In Radd al-Muhtar: Nor is it obligatory for her to release an immoral husband, unless they fear they will not uphold Allah’s limits, in which case there is no harm in separating. Immorality includes adultery and other sins. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to one whose wife did not repel the hand of a toucher, and who said: “I love her,” “Enjoy her.”
