سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم
جنت میں نہیں جاؤ گے یہاں تک کہ مومن بن جاؤ اور مومن نہیں4 بنو گے یہاں تک کہ آپس میں محبت کرو!
سنو! میں تم کو ایسی چیز بتاتا ہوں جب تم اس کو کرو گے تو محبت کرنے لگو گے تم آپس میں سلام کو پھیلاؤ۔ (مسلم)۔

(1) His statement: “you will not truly believe”: An-Nawawi said: “This is how it appears in all sources and narrations, without the final ‘n’ (in Arabic). The omission of the ‘n’ is likely for rhyme and balance. It may be that the prohibition implies negation, as is common among scholars, meaning you will not have complete faith. Allah, the Exalted, knows best.” As stated in Al-Mirqat.
