Note 1

Whoever fears

(1) His statement: “Whoever fears” – Al-Tayyibi said: This is a metaphor the Prophet struck for the one journeying to the Hereafter. The devil is on his path, with the soul and its false aspirations as his allies. If he is vigilant in his journey and sincere in his deeds, he is safe from the devil and his plots, overcoming the path and its allies. He then indicated that the path to the Hereafter is difficult, and attaining it is arduous, not achieved with minimal effort. (As stated in Al-Mirqat)
