Note 1

the charm for namlah

(1) The statement: "the charm for namlah": In Bazl al-Majhood: Namlah refers to sores on the side(s). The charm for namlah was words used by Arab women, known to listeners as harmless and ineffective, like: The bride adorns, dyes, and applies kohl, doing everything, but does not disobey the man.

Note 2

as you taught her writing

(2) The statement: "as you taught her writing": This indicates the permissibility of teaching women to write. The hadith “Do not teach them writing” applies to cases where corruption is feared. Thus, in Bazl al-Majhood.

Note 1
