Chapter on What is Not Permissible During Prayer and What is Allowed

Zujajat al-Masabih 1353Volume 1

English

Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I was praying Dhuhr with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and took a handful of pebbles to cool them in my hand, then placed them for my forehead to prostrate on due to the intense heat. [Narrated by Abu Dawud, and a similar narration by Al-Nasa’i] Shaykh Al-Hindi said in "Sharh Al-Nasa’i": This indicates the permissibility of minor actions.
