Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "Sulayk Al-Ghatafani came while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was sitting on the pulpit. Sulayk sat down before praying, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to him: 'Did you pray two rak'ahs?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Stand up and pray them.'"

نے سنن کبیر میں کی ہے (اس حدیث سے صاحبین کے اس قول کی تائید ہوتی ہے کہ خطبہ شروع کرنے سے پہلے صلاۃ و کلام جائز ہے، اس لئے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت سلیک کو اس وقت نماز پڑھنے کا حکم دیا جبکہ ابھی آپ خطبہ شروع نہیں فرمائے تھے)۔
