Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, if you did not sin, Allah would replace you with people who would sin and then seek His forgiveness, and He would forgive them."

ف: اس حدیث شریف میں ارشاد ہے کہ اہل خوف اور گنہ گاران تائب کے لئے بڑا دلا سہ ہے اور اس میں اس بات کا اشارہ ہے کہ گناہ حکمت الٰہی کے خلاف نہیں تاکہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمت اور غفاری کی صفت ظاہر ہو۔ اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ آدمی اپنے گناہوں سے نڈر ہو جائے کیونکہ یہ تو صریحاً کفر ہے۔ (مشکاۃ)۔
