From Sa'id ibn Abi Burda, from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): "What do you say about wudu from what has been changed by fire?" He replied: "Perform wudu from it." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: "What do you say about oil and heated water—should one perform wudu from it?" Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "You are a man from Quraysh, and I am a man from Daws." Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Abu Huraira, perhaps you refer to this verse: ‘But they are a contentious people’ (Az-Zukhruf 43:58)." [Narrated by al-Tahawi.
