Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: His steward came to him, and he said, "Have you given the slaves their sustenance?" He said, "No." He said, "Go and give it to them, for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'It is sufficient sin for a man to withhold sustenance from those he possesses.'" In another narration: "It is sufficient sin for a man to neglect those he sustains."
