English

Umm Salama, may God be pleased with her, reported that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You will have leaders, some of whose actions you will approve and some you will disapprove. Whoever dislikes them is absolved, and whoever denounces them is safe, but whoever approves and follows them [is not]." They said: "O Messenger of God, should we not fight them?" He said: "No, as long as they pray." Meaning, whoever dislikes and denounces with their heart. [Narrated by Muslim] In some versions of al-Masabih, it means whoever dislikes with their heart and denounces with their tongue.
