Kaladah ibn Hanbal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Safwan ibn Umayyah sent milk, a young goat, and colocynth to the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was at the upper part of the valley. He said: “I entered upon him without offering the greeting, and the Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘Go back and say, “Peace be upon you.”’”
