Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "There is no child born except that he is born upon the fitrah (natural disposition), and his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian, just as cattle give birth to a full-grown offspring. Do you see any of them mutilated?" Then he recited: {This is the nature of Allah upon which He has created mankind; there is no changing the creation of Allah. That is the straight religion} [Ar-Rum: 30].
