It is narrated from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) would launch raids at dawn, and he would listen for the Adhan. If he heard the Adhan, he would hold back; otherwise, he would attack. Once, he heard a man saying, "اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ," and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "He is upon the Fitrah (natural disposition)." Then the man said, "أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ," and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "You have been saved from the Fire." They looked and found that he was a shepherd.
