انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم
راستہ سے گزر رہے تھے کہ آپ کی نظر ایک کھجور پر پڑی جو راستہ میں (پڑا ہوا) تھا، آپ اس کو دیکھ کر
فرمائے اگر مجھے اس کا اندیشہ نہ ہوتا کہ یہ کہیں کا صدقہ کا ہو تو میں اس کو کھا لیتا (لیکن میں اس کو نہیں
کھایا، اس خوف کہ کہیں یہ صدقہ کا ہو)۔ اس کی روایت بخاری اور مسلم نے متفقہ طور پر کی ہے۔
