Ibn Shihab reported that Salim said: "Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) delayed Maghrib while he was preoccupied with his wife Safiyyah bint Abi Ubayd. I said to him: ‘The prayer!’ He replied: ‘Move on.’ I repeated: ‘The prayer!’ He again said: ‘Move on,’ until we had traveled two or three miles. Then he dismounted and prayed, saying: ‘This is how I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) pray when he was in a hurry.’ Abdullah (ibn Umar) added: ‘I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) pray Maghrib in three rak’ahs when in a hurry, then shortly after, he prayed Isha in two rak’ahs.’"
