Narrated Malik ibn Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) as a mursal report: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I have left among you two matters, as long as you hold fast to them, you will never go astray: the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger." [Narrated in "Al-Muwatta."

۱۷۷ - وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ مُرْسَلًا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ: «تَرَكْتُ فِيْكُمْ أَمْرَيْنِ لَنْ تَضِلُّوْا مَا تَمَسَّكْتُمْ بِهِمَا: كِتَابَ اللهِ وَسُنَّةَ رَسُوْلِهِ». كَذَا فِي «الْمُوَطَّأَ».

مالک بن انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے بطور مرسل روایت ہے انہوں نے کہا کہ
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں تم میں ایسی دو باتیں چھوڑ رہا ہوں، جب تک تم ان پر عمل کرتے
رہو گے گمراہ نہ ہو گے (1) ایک اللہ کی کتاب (2) دوسرے اس کے رسول کی سنت۔ (اس کی روایت
موطا میں اسی طرح ہے۔)
