Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: "The Prophet (ﷺ) commanded us with seven things and forbade us from seven. He commanded us to visit the sick, to follow funeral processions, to respond to the sneezer, to return greetings, to accept invitations, to fulfill oaths, and to support the oppressed. He forbade us from gold rings, silk, brocade, fine silk, red cushions, silver vessels, and drinking from silver vessels. In another narration, he forbade drinking from silver, for whoever drinks from it in this world will not drink from it in the Hereafter."
