It is narrated from Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever speaks about the Qur'an based on his own opinion, and if he is correct, he has still made a mistake."

٢١٩ - وَعَنْ جُنْدُبٍ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ قَالَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِرَأْيِهِ فَأَصَابَ فَقَدْ أَخْطَأَ». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ.
