It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever gives a fatwa without knowledge, the sin will be on the one who asked him. And whoever advises his brother with something, knowing that the right course of action is elsewhere, he has betrayed him."
