Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “The Prophet (ﷺ) used to give me gifts, and I would say: ‘Give it to someone who needs it more than me.’ He said: ‘Take it and keep it or give it in charity. Whatever comes to you of this wealth without you being greedy or asking for it, take it. Otherwise, do not let your soul desire it.’”
