Amr ibn Al-‘As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The distinction between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the meal of Suhur."

٢٤٤٤ - وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ : «فَصْلُ مَا بَيْنَ صِيَامِنَا وَصِيَامِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أَكْلَةُ السَّحَرِ». رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ.

عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ
علیہ وآلہ وسلم ارشاد فرماتے ہیں کہ ہمارے روزوں اور اہل کتاب (یعنی یہود و نصاریٰ) کے روزوں
کے درمیان فرق سحری کا کھانا ہے (یعنی ہم سحری کھا کر روزہ رکھتے ہیں اور وہ سحری کھائے بغیر روزہ
رکھتے ہیں)۔ اس حدیث کی روایت مسلم نے کی ہے۔
