Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Among the best characteristics of a fasting person is using the toothstick.” [Narrated by Ibn Majah, Al-Daraqutni, and Al-Bayhaqi]
In its chain is Mujalid ibn Sa’id, whom Al-Nasa’i considered reliable, and Muslim narrated his hadith alongside others.

٢٤٧٣ - وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ (رضي الله عنها) قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ : مِنْ خَيْرِ خِصَالِ الصَّائِمِ السَّوَاكُ. رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه والدَّارَ قُطْنِي وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ ، فِيْهِ مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَثَقَهُ النَّسَائِيُّ، وَرَوَى لَهُ مُسْلِمُ مَقْرُوْنَا بِغَيْرِهِ.
