Narrated Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Islam is built upon five [pillars]: the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger; the establishment of prayer; the giving of zakat; the pilgrimage to the house [i.e., Hajj]; and fasting during Ramadan."

٣- وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ (رضي الله عنهما) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ: شَهَادَةِ أَن لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ، وَإِقَامُ الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِيْتَاءُ الزَّكَاةِ، وَالْحَجُّ، وَصَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ اسلام کی بنیاد پانچ چیزوں
پر رکھی گئی ہے: (1) گواہی دینا اس بات کی کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور حضرت محمد مصطفیٰ صلی اللہ
علیہ وآلہ وسلم اس کے بندے اور اس کے رسول ہیں اور ( 2 ) نماز کو پابندی سے
ادا کرنا، اور (3) زکات دینا، اور (4) حج کرنا اور (5) رمضان کے روزے رکھنا۔
(اس کی روایت بخاری اور مسلم نے متفقہ طور پر کی ہے۔)
