Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "All of Arafah is a place of standing, all of Mina is a place of slaughter, all of Muzdalifah is a place of standing, and all the mountain passes of Makkah are pathways and places of slaughter."

(1) "All the mountain passes of Makkah are pathways" means one may enter Makkah from any route, though entering from Thaniyyat Kada’ is preferable. (Al-Maraqi) (2) "Pathways and places of slaughter" means sacrifices may be performed anywhere within the sacred precincts, as the objective is to remove hardship. However, Mina is superior for Hajj sacrifices, and Makkah (particularly al-Marwah) is preferable for Umrah sacrifices. (Al-Maraqi, Fath al-Qadir)

(۱) قوله: كل فجاج مكة طريق : أي يجوز دخول مكة من جميع طرقها، وإن كان الدخول من ثنية كداء أفضل. قاله في «المرقاة».

(۲) قوله: وطريق ومنحر : أي ويجوز النحر في جميع نواحيها؛ لأنها من الحرم، والمقصود نفي الحرج، ذكره الطيبي لله ويجوز ذبح جميع الهدايا في أرض الحرم بالاتفاق، إلا أن منى أفضل لدماء الحج، ومكة لا سيما المروة لدماء العمرة. كذا في المرقاة». وقال في فتح القدير: ويجوز الذبح في أي موضع شاء من الحرم، ولا يختص بمنى، ومن الناس من قال: لا يجوز إلا بمنى، والصحيح ما قلنا، ويؤيده هذا الحديث.

ف(1): واضح ہو کہ مکہ معظمہ میں جس راستہ سے چاہیں داخل ہوسکتے ہیں لیکن کداء نامی گھاٹی جو مکہ معظمہ کے مشرقی جانب ہے اس طرف سے داخل ہونا افضل ہے اور جب کعبۃ اللہ شریف میں داخل ہوں تو باب السلام سے داخل ہوں جو جانب مشرق واقع ہے۔ مرقات اور عرف شذی۔12 ف(2): واضح ہو کہ مکہ معظمہ چونکہ سرزمین حرم ہے اس لئے جہاں چاہیں قربانی دے سکتے ہیں لیکن حج کی قربانی کے لئے افضل یہ ہے کہ وہ منیٰ میں دی جائے اور دیگر قربانیاں جیسے تمتع، نذر اور شکرانہ اور جنایات کی قربانیاں مکہ معظمہ میں جہاں چاہیں دی جائیں تو جائز ہے مرقات اور اشعۃ اللمعات۔12
