And from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The seal of sleep is the eyes, so if anyone sleeps, let him perform ablution." [Narrated by Abu Dawood]
The Sheikh Imam Muhi al-Sunnah said: "This applies to one who is not sitting, as confirmed."

۳۱۱ - وَعَنْ عَلَى (رضي الله عنه) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «وَكَاءُ السَّهِ الْعَيْنَانِ، فَمَنْ نَامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ». رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ.
وَقَالَ الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ مُحْيِي السُّنَّةِ : هَذَا فِي غَيْرِ الْقَاعِدِ، لِمَا صَحَ:
