Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"The purest food you eat is from your honest earnings, and your children are part of those earnings." [Narrated by Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah]
Abu Dawud's version adds: "Among the purest food a man eats is from his labor, and his child is from his earnings."
Abu Dawud commented: "Hammad ibn Abi Sulayman's addition about cupping earnings is acceptable as supplementary narration from a reliable source."

Note 1
(1) "Your children are part of those earnings" - Since they result from marital relations, parents may benefit from children's earnings if needy - otherwise only with their consent. [Al-Mirqat, Al-Hidayah] (2) "Such additions" - Supplementary narrations that don't contradict stronger chains are accepted, as explained by Ibn Hajar in Sharh Nukhbat al-Fikr. [Badhl al-Majhud]
