Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (ﷺ): “A man will not be asked about why he struck his wife.” Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah.

ف: واضح ہو کہ اس حدیث شریف میں ارشاد ہے کہ بیوی کو شوہر معقول وجہ پر مارے تو اس پر مواخذہ نہ ہوگا معقول وجہ میں نماز کا نہ پڑھنا، غسل نہ کرنا، شوہر کے لئے بناؤ سنگار نہ کرنا یا بلا وجہ جماع سے انکار کرنا یا شوہر کی بلا اجازت باہر جانا داخل ہیں۔ (حاشیہ مشکوٰۃ)
