Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I used to play with dolls in the presence of the Prophet (ﷺ), and I had friends who played with me. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered, they would hide from him, but he would send them back to play with me. Agreed upon.

٣٣٣۳ - وَعَنْهَا (رضي الله عنها)قَالَتْ: كُنْت أَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ، وَكَانَ لِي صَوَاحِبُ يَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ اللهِ إِذَا دَخَلَ يَتَقَطَّعْنَ مِنْهُ فَيُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَيَّ، فَيَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

ام المؤمنین حضرت عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے وہ
فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس (یعنی آپ کے گھر میں) گڑیوں سے
کھیلا کرتی تھی اور میرے ساتھ چند سہیلیاں بھی کھیلا کرتی تھیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم
جب (گھر میں) تشریف لاتے تو سہیلیاں آپ سے (شرما کر) باہر چلی جاتیں تو آپ اُن کو میرے
پاس بھیجتے اور وہ میرے ساتھ کھیلتیں۔ (اس کی روایت بخاری اور مسلم نے متفقہ طور پر کی ہے)۔

(1) The statement: “I used to play with dolls, etc.”: In Radd al-Muhtar: Buying a clay bull or horse for a child’s amusement is not valid, has no value, and the one who destroys it is not liable. Some said otherwise, that it is valid and liable for its value. In Majtabi from Abu Yusuf: It is permissible to sell toys and for children to play with them.
