Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The best of companions are four, the best of detachments are four hundred, the best of armies are four thousand, and twelve thousand will not be defeated due to small numbers."

٣٨٤١ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ رضي الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلي الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: (خَيْرُ الصَّحَابَةِ أَرْبَعَةٌ، وَخَيْرُ السَّرَايَا أَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ، وَخَيْرُ الْخُيُوشِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافيِ، وَلَنْ يُغْلَبَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ). رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُوْ دَاوُدَ وَالدَّارِميُّ.

فوجی لشکر چار ہزار کا ہے اور بارہ ہزار کی تعداد کم ہونے کی بناء پر ہرگز مغلوب نہیں ہوگی۔ (ترمذی،
ابوداؤد، دارمی، اور امام ترمذی نے کہا کہ یہ حدیث غریب ہے۔)
