Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: I went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with Abdullah ibn Abi Talhah for him to perform tahnik (chewing a date and rubbing it on the baby’s palate). I found him holding a branding iron, branding the camels of charity. 1

٤٠٠٥ - وَعَنْ أنَسِ رضى الله عنه قَالَ: غَدَوْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلي الله عليه واله وسلم بِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَلِيُحَنَّكَهُ، فَوَافَيْتُهُ فِي يَدِهِ الْمِيسَمُ 1 يَسِمُ إِبِلَ الصَّدَقَةِ. مُتَّفَقُ عَلَيْهِ.
وَقَالَ فِي مَسَائِلٍ شَتَّى مِنَ (الدُّرِّ الْمُخْتَارِ): وَيَجُوْزُ فَصْدُ الْبَهَائِمِ وَكَيُّهَا.

میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو اس حالت میں پایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے دست مبارک میں
داغ کا آلہ تھا1 صدقہ کے اونٹوں کو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم داغ دے رہے تھے۔ (متفق علیہ)۔
