Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The pillow 1 of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on which he reclined was made of leather stuffed with palm fiber.

(1) The statement: "The pillow of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), etc.": An-Nawawi said: This indicates the permissibility of using a bed and pillow, sleeping on them, and benefiting from them. I say: It is more likely recommended due to his (ﷺ) consistent practice, as it enhances rest, which is intended for sleep to gain energy for worship. As stated in Al-Marqat.
