Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "While a man was dragging his lower garment out of pride, the earth swallowed him, and he will continue sinking in it until the Day of Resurrection."

٤٢٠٤ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صلي الله عليه واله وسلم : (بَيْنَمَا رَجُلُ يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ مِنَالْخُيَلَاءِ خُسِفَ بِهِ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ). رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
