English

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Some of the Prophet’s companions said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): What about truffles, the smallpox of the earth? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Truffles are from manna, and their water is a cure for the eye. Ajwah dates are from Paradise and a cure for poison. Abu Hurairah said: I took three, five, or seven truffles, squeezed them, put their water in a bottle, and used it as kohl for my servant girl who had weak eyes, and she was cured [Narrated by Tirmidhi, who said: This is a good hadith]. The entire hadith is intended, but the statement “Truffles are from manna, and their water is a cure for the eye” is authentic .
