سیدنا ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم
نے فرمایا: جو آدمی فصاحت کے ساتھ بولنا سیکھتا ہے تاکہ اس سے لوگوں کے یا انسانوں کے دلوں کو مائل
کرے1 تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے قیامت کے دن نہ کوئی نفل قبول کرے گا اور نہ فرض قبول کرے گا۔ (ابوداؤد)۔

(1) His statement: to captivate the hearts of men, etc. In Badhl Al-Majhud, it is stated that Mawlana Muhammad Yahya, the deceased, wrote in At-Taqrir: “His statement: ‘to captivate the hearts.’ If he intends for his speech and admonition to have an effect for the sake of Allah purely, there is no harm.”

(۱) قوله: ليسبي قلوب الرجال إلخ: قال في بذل المجهود: كتب مولانا محمد يحيى المرحوم في التقرير»: قوله: ليسبي به القلوب». فأما لو نوى فيه أن يؤثر كلامه ووعظه في سبيل الله خالصا فلا ضير.
