Abu Ad-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A man came to him and said, “I have a wife, and my mother orders me to divorce her.” Abu Ad-Darda said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘The parent is the middle gate of Paradise, so if you wish, preserve that gate or waste it.’”
