Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No servant swallows a gulp more virtuous in the sight of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, than the gulp of anger he suppresses seeking the Face of Allah, the Exalted.”

٤٨٩٦ - وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ (رضي الله عنهما) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «مَا تَجَرَّعَ عَبْدُ جَرْعَةً أَفْضَلَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ جَرْعَةِ غَيْظٍ يَكْظِمُهَا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى». رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ.
