٤٩٥٢ - وَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ (رضي الله عنه) أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «لَيْسَ1 لِابْنِ آدَمَ حَقٌّ فِي سِوَى هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ: بَيْتُ يَسْكُنُهُ، وَثَوْبُ يُوَارِي عَوْرَتَهُ، وَجِلْفُ الْخُبْزِ وَالْمَاءِ». رَوَاهُ التَّرْمِذِيُّ.

(1) His statement: “No right…”: By “right,” he means what is obligated for him by Allah without accountability in the Hereafter. If he suffices with these from lawful means, he will not be questioned about them, as they are essential needs. Anything beyond these pleasures will be questioned, and gratitude for them is required. (As stated in Al-Mirqat.)

(۱) قوله: ليس لابن آدم حق إلخ : أراد بالحق ما وجب له من الله من غير تبعة في الآخرة، وسؤال عنه، وإذا اكتفى بذلك من الحلال لم يسأل عنه؛ لأنه من الحقوق التي لا بد للنفس منها، وأما ما سواه من الحظوظ يسأل عنه، ويطالب بشكره. كذا في «المرقاة».
